Edinburgh, Scotlands capital and the chosen location for the Leonardo Hotel groups new “Royal Hotel”. Located in the historical heart of the City Centre next to Haymarket Train station. IES where delighted to be appointed the main Electrical Contractors on this prestigious 6.1 million pound project. Leonardo Hotels have a growing portfolio of over 80 hotels in 40 locations around the world and we are delighted to carry out the vision set out by renowned Interior Designer Andreas Neudahm.
Leonardo Hotels aim is to create & develop unique high end hotels with their own character and clear links to their locations. Daniel Roger, MD for Leonardo Hotels outlines the group vision that the new Royal Hotel is aiming to appeal to both leisure guests, given its location near to tram and train stops, as well as Edinburgh’s ever-growing corporate and business tourism market – fuelled by its proximity to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and the exciting Haymarket Development.
Edinburgh is World Renowned for its many attractions with August being the month it plays host to the Edinburgh International Festival, with this in mind a 10 week working schedule was set out to complete the full Electrical requirements for 282 bedrooms, Lobby & Restaurant With central locations in major city locations there are many challenges to overcome but with careful planning & dedication from each member of the IES team we where able to deliver on our 10 week schedule to the client.
We are extremely satisfied to have worked towards creating a new and exciting development Edinburgh & the Leonardo group can be proud off. With the relationships built on this project and the standards set and exceeded by all at IES we now look forward to working with the Leonardo group again and can confirm we are the chosen Electrical Contractors on the next 5 Hotel developments that will see us travel around the UK & Europe in the coming years.
