You have the option to purchase the Ring doorbell directly from us, or you can provide your own for our electricians to install. Please note, it’s often more cost-effective if you supply your own equipment.
Ring wired video doorbell installation service
What’s included in our Ring doorbell installation service? We’ll disconnect and remove your existing doorbell and then the power kit will be integrated with the internal doorbell system. Your video doorbell will be securely mounted to a door frame or an external wall with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Please have your Wi-Fi password ready for the installation process.
During the installation, the doorbell will be configured, thoroughly tested, and demonstrated to ensure it operates correctly. If desired, it can also be set up to provide real-time alerts.
Please note that a functioning wired doorbell is required for a successful installation.
What do I need to do before our electrician attends to install your Ring doorbell?
- Ensure the backup battery pack(s) included with your product are fully charged before our electrician arrives.
- You can also prepare up to 2 compatible devices you wish to connect to your security system.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is operational, located within a maximum of 7 metres from the installation site, and meets the required internet speed of 4 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload.
- Have your Wi-Fi password ready. Please note, if additional parts or work are needed for the installation, extra charges may apply.

For hardwired Ring doorbell installations, we require a video showing the route from your fuse board to the intended installation point, along with a photo of where you’d like the doorbell placed outside. You can share these via our business WhatsApp account.
