IES Go Green in 17
Innovation is something that is key to our success here at Ideal Electrical Solutions and we are applying that strength further for this year as we Go Green in 17.
We take our Social and Environmental responsibility seriously and want to lead the way in these areas. For many years now we have been using our energy saving expertise to serve our clients through out Scotland, helping transform homes, offices and commercial projects with our industry leading service and knowledge reducing the carbon footprint using state of the art products. As we continue with giving our clients the best green solutions on the market we have also turned our attention to see what more we can do as a company.
Throughout 2016 we have worked to transform our office environment with multi functionally energy saving measures with specialists lighting that enhances the working experience for our staff and visiting clients. We are not stopping here though, 2017 is another big year as we now turn our focus onto our fleet of company vehicles.
The idea for Go Green in 17 started back in late 2016 when we where delighted to be honoured as winners at the prestigious Select annual awards ceremony as winners for “Best Visual Promotion” This award was the result of our year long visual awareness campaign throughout the company promoting energy saving solutions.
Select award sponsors Pike & Bambridge who are leading the way in vehicle provisions throughout Scotland, Sharing the same values and drive as IES and as they also move into focusing on the supply of Private & Commercial Green vehicles it made sense to bring the skills and knowledge they have on-board with IES as main suppliers of our new Green Vehicle Fleet.
In just a few weeks we take delivery of our first Electric Company Vehicle, the outstanding BMW i3. This will be used as our office pool car for all of our Edinburgh based staff to travel around the city. We have made a pledge to completely renew our working fleet of vans throughout 2017 and beyond with the target of being all electric by 2020.
As our commitment to Go Green in 17 continues we will update you on further developments on our campaign, we have already been shortlisted for yet another select award in this category and hope to bring you news on this after the ceremony later in the year.
