Through Green Deal landlords will have the ability to upgrade and make significant improvements to their properties, through the government energy saving scheme, Green Deal.
The emphasis of this scheme is to reduce carbon emissions from properties throughout the UK. There are numerous Green Deal measures offered under the Green Deal Assessment, of particular interest to landlords will be, Central heating, new boilers, £300.00 towards LED lighting, insulation and windows, these are only just a few examples which are covered by energy savings from ‘YOUR tenants’ electricity bills.
In 2016 all tenanted properties will be required to be ‘E’ rated, by starting with the Green Deal initiative and with the help of the Special Offer, (which expires on the 31-12-13) which allows you to claim up to £150.00 back on your Green Deal assessment, you will be well on your way to meeting the new legislative requirements.
We will be very happy to provide you with further information and or discuss your requirements, alternatively visit the Energy Saving Trust website @ www.energysavingtrust.org.uk
